It is not TRI-X days any longer, or Echtachrome.
Let's face it.

Even back in the good'ol film days, processing film was a true art and an image could be manipulated in any number of ways. Even choices in film made a huge difference (none of which is news to us who did it). Instead of chemicals, environment and film... now it's LR,PS and plug-ins.

White-browed Shama (Copsychus luzoniensis) by alabang, on Flickr

The white-browed shama (Copsychus luzoniensis) is a species of bird in the family Muscicapidae. It is endemic to the Philippines. C. l. superciliaris, the Visayan Shama, is sometimes considered a distinct species.

It was raining all day today, so thought I'd have a play inside with a few different things. Here's an African Violet as seen by the 1Dx through a wide open 85L II + 12mm extension tube.

I came back to this post... I think I was on page 5....or so
just to see what is posted...

now...because of you all... I am out the door with the 85L ii and 1dx2....
I especially like using the spot meter following focus point....with this lens...

I eagerly await the 85mm f1.4L I.S. I may keep the f1.2

that coming lens and the 35L ii deserve to be glued to their own camera body.....nearly

////////////

a lot of seriously lovely shots.....
notice how it usually is someone you love....
when you bring out this lens... because it treats them so well

if you have used the lens and know the caution areas...
and THEN look at all these photos...
it is a class in itself.... on techniques with the lens

thanks everyone for more instruction
