I'm planning to by a 60d, and would like to use it for taking kitesurfing, stand up paddle boarding and underwater pictures.

Could anyone please tell me if this camera is able to take decent pictures in these categories?
Or post any link where i could read some review regarding to this?

Your answers are much appreciated and Im glad for any help.

Thank you very much

Sylvia

For shooting sequences a 7D will give you better AF, faster frame rate and larger buffer, though the 60D will still be good. If you're going to be making money from it I'd get the 7D - you'll have a slightly higher hit ratio because of the faster FPS and better AF - but if it's just for fun then go for the 60D.

For shooting in and around the water, you'll probably want a splash/sport housing rather than a dive housing. Check out SPL and Aquatech, who both make housings for surf/surface use for both the 7D and 60D. These housings are lighter, smaller, more bouyant, and unlike many dive housings, do not rely on water pressure to keep the O-rings tightly sealed and watertight. Of course the trade-off is that they can't go beyond about 10m underwater.
