What a laughing stock this "rumors" site has become after Japanese rumors resource Nokishita closed in 2022. No leaked photos of R5 II until the release date, lol. Just a dumpster of SEO content and ads.

Hmmm.... as an old DSLR User i am not that fascinated by the R5II - the best i could see is the nicer Bodyshape ( Viewfinder ) ;-) .

-> missing the AF-Comtroller like the R3/1
-> missing Fotos of the Backside of the R5II ?

After a While we will see if i switch to Mirrorlesss sometimes.
( For now my restrictions rely on Video - Blackmagic Design PHYXIS 6K EF-Mount a better Solution for me ? )

Greetings from rainy Germany

A mild upgrade from R5. Canon's focus seems to be on speed and video, so now you have R1, R3, R52 all catering to sports and journalism market.

I thought it was funny how they presented R1 as having a \"high resolution\" sensor...

Everything I needed: High quality EVF, Eye AF improved, new sensor.
What I could miss: AF control button like R3, mode selector on the left like 5 D IV, horizontal lines AF recognition.
Conclusion: ORDER!

Preordered R5 II with cooled grip - hoping to get longer videorecording. Not just knowing which improvement comes in this body. But needing another body. Better AF system, i Read. This is welcome
Holding breath, when read R1 could have >60MP. But that was just an false rumor. So placed my order for the R5 II here in Germany.
But at another store in Düsseldorf, that ist almost 140€ off the pricing from FotoKoch, Canon Rumors is offering.

The lack of built-in *** on the R3 Mark II is not a deal-breaker, but it is inconvenient.. Research-grade nature photographs require accurate time and location data in the metadata. Nonetheless, I have ordered the R5 Mark II.

Anybody wanna buy a 6D Mark II (with ***) and a few EF lenses—all in excellent condition—at very good prices?
