Canon RF 30-600mm Super Zoom appears in Patent Application

200-800 has awesome IQ on my r5 m2 45 MPs even though it is no L lense.
...
and thew new Zoom lenses 24-105 f2.8 or for that matter the 200-800m.
The 200-800 is still "just a 4x zoom" and purely tele. And no one would call that "super zoom".
The 24-105 is a "4.4x zoom", so also no "super zoom"
A 30-600 would be a "20x zoom" would be a toatally different tool.

That's apple to oranges in comparing those to a 30-600.

But if a 30-600 is your tool, and you'd like its IQ, I wouldn't want to talk it bad.
It's simply not MY tool.

You like f/8 lenses, I don't. Why the hostility? Chill out and snap some photos. To each their own. I guess my sarcasm didn't drip hard enough. My bad.
We really need sarcasm tags in here. I’d say I understand the reason for a zoom that’s f/8 at the long end. The one lens like that I have, the RF 100-400, is very convenient for travel and delivers good IQ, so yes…I like it. But I don’t like f/8 lenses so much that I use the 2x TC behind my 600/4 all that often…
