EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 Going Away?

This morning I noticed that the EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 was no longer showing on the Canon EF Lens Lineup page. I just check again and the picture is there with no price but if you click on it you are take to this page:
http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/home

It looks likes this lens is on the way out. Has anyone else noticed this or know anything about this?

Nothing to notice in Germany.

Canon Germany has it on its home page:

Retailers have it on stock and there is also no price change (up or down) as indicator for a phase out:

Seems like a simple bug on the canon USA home page. But it looks strange, yes.

Could be. The support page for the lens is still there, but there's no Buy Now link as there is for other current lenses.

I suspect that its going to be there for a long time. Shortages are starting to hit due to the West Coast dock strike, so Canon may pull buy it now links.

It is a great lens that sells well and has no equivalent..... I can't see it going away unless it was replaced with a newer version.
