Are there any rumors about the offered specs of the video features being included with the 70D? Any chance for 1080/60p with the standard firmware?

Hoping for some improvements, updates, or features that make this worth looking at. Shooting video with a T4i is often easier than a 7D/5D these days, especially with the rotational touchscreen and STM lens support (although QUITE limited selection). This feature does seem to be moving to the 70D, but hoping there's more improvements aside from that...

Hear hear, thanks to the flip out screen my t3i is my goto video slr, stm diesn't matter to me, strictly an mf guy for video. The m has the useful 29m59s clip limit (even in 1080p25) and the m seems a stop lower interms if noise over my digic 4 cameras.

I'm semi-shocked that it looks like the higher quality ALL-I recording format has trickled down to the 70D without any hackery. That is a welcome update and significant step up from the Rebel line, more in line with the 5DMk3 in that respect. If it has a clean HDMI out, then this would likely be the camera I'm choosing moving forward.

I'm fine without the audio monitoring, but don't get the rational behind it. For any significant audio, I'm recording externally anyway and synching in post. Throw a compact Rode-style shotgun on there for better reference track if you desire. Still doesn't make sense though...
