i thought it might be an interesting exercise to upload some pictures, and then guess the lens,L or nifty fifty? focal length ,body, point and shoot or 1dx etc.

i know this game is a minefield of pitfalls, but youll just have to accept the rules. JUST FOR FUN

heres a pic, what lens/focal length and body did i use?

Well, I first thought something old... then seen modern cars and thought this is a tricky question and after us guessing something with the TS-E expensiveness, you will reveal that it was just some iphone... and then I thought rebel and... and I realized that there is this hint giving thing called google... and it took just seconds, but I don't want to spoil it, so I'll leave it at this
(ps, nice idea, I wouldn't get the lens right)

its just a good exercise, too many people focus on gear, when you really shouldnt worry about it!

Really folks. The sig was a dead giveaway but leaving EXIF data isn't exactly covert either. Canon XTi, nifty fifty plastic fantastic, iso 200, 1/800s, f/10... Step it up please!

Hmm, this could be TOUGH!

I think the first inclination with your photo is something "old"...but it is quite crisp and clear, not indicative of an older camera. Based on some of your previous posts, and remembering how you described yourself...I'd have to say the camera was a trusty (VERY trusty) 400D. As for the lens...not sure. Maybe a "nifty", but there appears to be a small bit of perspective compression, so maybe something longer....135? 24-105 @ ~105?

Here is something of mine. Those who know me will guess the camera easily enough. The lens should be more difficult, though.

Hmm, my first thought was 35mm, but having another look it seems to be taken further away. I assume it is not cropped. Obviously would be able to say the lens, but can it have been taken somewhere around 80-100mm?

jrista, I like your eagle pic. I'll have to keep trying, but I don't have a 5Dlll and 600mm F4. basically I have less than half that. LOL I like my 7D and prefer to carry the 70-200mm F4 IS USM over the 2.8 ll the money I saved bought me the 1.4 and 2X extenders that I use a lot.

I like to believe the first was a T&S because of how straight the buildings look. So 45mm T&S is my guess.
