Has anyone got their R8 yet?

The HF anti flicker options works very, very well. I haven’t used the mechanical shutter yet, everything has been ES so far

I have not used the mechanical shutter (or EFCS) on my R3, after confirming it worked on the day the camera was delivered.

I expect that with the R8, I will use EFCS most of the time so I can get the full 14-bit depth.

I really want to see how it looks with any lens other than that disaster of a 24-50.

Haven't powered it on yet, but here it is with he RF 24-105/4L and the RF 24/1.8 (and the RRS L-plate for the RP, which is a perfect fit).

I'll let you know, once I actually use it. The RRS plate adds enough height for my pinky (as would the grip extension), so it feels ok but small in my hand. Definitely tiny compared to the R3!

I just bought a new R8. It is somehow on discount. Its one of those NYC store and I dont have to pay tax bc I use their special card. Happy.

It will replace my RP.
