Some friends have insurance otters do not saying its not worth it. I called once about my earlier set up pf 3 lenses 3 strobes 2 older bodies and they "could not " insure me at that time for approx 4000$. just wondering what and how and who to go with in Canada.

Thanks guys for listening

vero do globl insurance for equipment and public liability world wide
thats who i use I would imagine the premiums are not massive for only $4000 worth of gear
if you are operating as a business then generally home owners insurance wont cover professional equipment
and having public liability insurance is essential when dealing with members of the public.

I'm up to about 15 - 20k with all the Lighting gear etc. and extra bits, don't own a home just a studio and i move where the work is.

vero is specialist photographic insurance they can also be brokered through AON thats how mine is done
I am sure the do Canada too they can also provide cover for your studio and fixed equipment. very comprehensive cover.

If you own a home first stop is your homeowners insurance agent. They may or may not cover professional work so ask. If not you should be able to call a local agent and get coverage. Ideally one of the specialty carriers who deal with working pros (google is your friend). Lastly ask around town. With that much value you need some protection.
