Inexpensive standard walk around lens question

EF 35mm f/2 IS is a terrific walk-around on my 6D. I purchased this Canon 35mm instead of the Sigma Art due to its compact size as I was looking for a relatively small lens that I could use in place of my relatively large 24-70 2.8 II. 35mm is a nice general purpose focal length.

I bought my as a refurb for $479 and its an excellent copy. I'm a big fan of Canon refurbs.

I use my old 28-75 f2.8 Tamron. I like it has closer focus than the 24-105 f4L and other zooms in its range. I use it for near macro all the time. It does not have USM which is a negative. In many ways it is a very underrated lens. It is small for a 2.8 zoom and shares a filter size of 67mm with the 70-200f4L. The two add up to a very good travel set.
