Thankfully, if they actually make one, it will be far too expensive to even tempt me (maybe) although I hope they do just to score points in the Camera world. I will also drool over photos and videos of it. I would be extremely happy to settle for an RF 15mm f1.4 that is optically designed for nightscapes.

The RF 50mm f/1.2, for example, already weighs 590 grams/2.09 pounds.

If the magnificent RF 50mm F1.2 would only weigh 590 grams, I would have purchased it a long, long time ago!!! Unfortunately, it is 950gr and I think it is too heavy for a prime :/ at least in my personal opinion.

Internal AF may be the core problem for such fast primes with good IQ. A solution will be not cheap and therefore not realistic - remember the Nikon Noct - fast and very good IQ = huge, very expensive and manual Focus.

Musing about apertures faster than 1.0 is fun but did you notice what this patent is likely really about? What goes on between HM1 and HM2 called a QWP?? Never heard of it and never seen such a design. It bounces the light a couple of times shortening the physical length of the optical path. I'm sure this could be used in other designs as well
Upd: my Japanese is not what it used to be but it is indeed about a Quarter Wavelength Plate and reflections.
