Lens Rebates- How often?

Hello everyone!
The current lens rebate ends on the 7th, I know. And before that, we had a short rebate on a specific selection of lenses and speedlights.
Is there a trend as to when the rebates come? Can we expect the same rebates from last year, in 2012?

Many of the rebates have been extended to Feb. 4th.
