Lens Recommendation for Music Videos/ Life Style Photography

Hello guys ,

Me and my twin brother both have a passion for videos/ life style photography. He has a 7D with a 50 mm 1.8 in which we used to share but I just bought another 7D last week (body only). We are now looking to upgrade lenses and need your help/advice/recommendations

As far as our budget goes, we have around $2500-$3000 to spend on lenses.

We are looking for lenses that can best compliment each other when shooting at the same time, as well as lenses that deserve to be in the arsenal.

Please let me know your thoughts!

I don't have as much experience/knowledge as a lot of people here so I dunno if my advice would be useful or not. I think it would depend on what kind of music video shoot you'll be doing - like the time of the day, if it's at night time, you might want to invest in an L lens. I would recommend the 85L and the 24-70 or the 24-105. Then you'd have the standard/mid-range focal length covered. Maybe even invest in a wide angle? The 24 or 28 lenses?
