missing reviews of 400mm f/4 DO IS II

There were lot of preproduction reviews of 7D mk II, but I'm really missing some more info about 400 DO II. It looks like a very interesting lens and I couldn't find any other info except introduction and short overview here

Am I missing something? Is it too soon for reviews? Or am I the only one interested in some sample images if not whole reviews?

Same to me. I can only find low res samples from Canon.

It seems that there are not so many copies out there that they could find their way to the reviewers.
Neither on Canon nor on retailer pages I can find any release or delivery date. Everywhere you only can pre-order.
Not that I could afford it, but I am interested in how the DO tech has been developed in the 2nd generation.

I've seen 24 November listed as the release date, but no other new review information since Photokina. I to am anxious to see some full res images.

exactly, I'm not buying it, maybe in future as my wildlife lens, but right now I'm just curious about progress in DO development

Don't expect Canon to be passing dozens of these around to reviewers like the 7D MK II which is intended for the general public. Only a few 400mm D) II's will be produced as compared to consumer bodies.

The lens is likely difficult to produce, DO technology still requires a lot of magic. Don't be surprised if the deliveries are delayed a few months.
