Hi I'm from Puerto Rico and as you know is very humid here and I had to send several lenses to fix because fungus, my question which is the best way for house storage being a habitual user not long term storage ????

I'd recommend a sealed container (I use Pelican/Storm cases, but an ice chest, etc. would work), with a few packets of desiccant. There are disposable packs as well as ones you 'recharge' (dry out) in your oven.

If your home has air conditioning, then a common problem is condensation especially in extending zooms. The trick is to put the whole camera in a poly bag & allow the temperature to equalise before you use it. When comming back inside extend the lens a few times to get the moist air out of it or the cooling effect will eventually cause condensation.

Storage as per Neuros suggestion

My brother in-law lived in Panama, and kept his tools in a home madewooden case with a heat lamp to drive off moisture. I think something similar would work for lenses, a bpx or closet that is heated with some air circulation. There are commercial drying cabinets as well.
