R5II - Sending Images to a Smartphone from the Camera [*** data missing]

R5 mark II.
Latest fw 1.1.1

Did use Camera Connect app to provide Location information when photographing.
This works rather good.
Imported all images with a cardreader to PC, all EXIF/***-information is included in the imported files.

Then tried few of same images with the function "Sending Images to a Smartphone from the Camera" - from the playback menu of the R5II.
This works great, but now the ***-info in the files are not included in the files received on my phone (S23), and all other EXIF/IPTC are OK.
When looking at the files on the camera the ***-info is there for all the files.

Why is this?
Bug in R5II firmware?

When you’re in the view with the photo grid, tap the gear icon on the top right, you’ll get this menu:

Click on the bottom entry and you’ll get a pop-up that has the “don’t delete” and “delete” options.

That worked, perfect!
Thank you!! :)

(And not a very intuitive solution by Canon.......)

Another thing, my camera was OFF, but when starting Camera Connect-app it connected to the R5II first with BT, then with WiFi, and I could browse all pictures.
I assume that is why the Airplane mode must be switched ON to preserve battery when camera is OFF.

Maybe Canon should have made an option to choose Airplane mode ON always automatically when camera switched OFF.

Many thanks. I don't use the function a lot but sometime back I noticed that my iPhone was no longer receiving the location information. Tried figuring out why and failed. I may have even asked the question here (I don't actively participate much, more of a lurker) but couldn't find the answer. And this was so simple. Now if my 80+ year old brain will remember it is the question.
