I wonder if Canon will replace this beast with an RF version. I suppose they would. The company seems to want to replicate its EF lens list for the R mount. It would be strange if it left this classic off.

I wonder what the speed of the lens would be. F 1.2, 1.4? The MSRP? $6500, $7000?
 
What do you mean by bread and butter lenses btw?
He probably means lenses that are not going to cost $7,000 and sell very few copies... except for the big tele lenses for birding and sports. A RF 70-200mm IS f/2.8L would be a bread and butter lens, also a 135mm and true macro lenses. Then there's the non-L lenses. I don't mean to speak for you, Mr. Spokane, that's just my interpretation of what I think you were saying. :love: No disrespect intended. I hold your experience and knowledge in high esteem. I have learned a lot from many of your posts.
