I finally bit the bullet and snatched the RF 24-70 2,8 for $1799, currently out for delivery

According to CPW there was a pricing mistake on the morning of 9/3, where B&H was stacking their BILD discounts with the Canon instant savings. For nearly an hour, the discounts were even better e.g. the 24-70/2.8 IS was $1599. The RF 24/1.8 was $299.

Future tip: if there's a lens you want, set a price alert on CPW.
