</strong>Sigma will be announcing new photographic products on January 10, 2012 according to their web site.</p>
<p>There could be new cameras, both SD and DP as well as mirrorless lenses. We were told about new <a href="http://www.canonrumors.com/2011/12/sigma-tamron-announcing-new-goods-in-january/">DSLR lenses that could be announced</a> in January.</p>

They could just announce a realistic price point for the SD1 - that'd be just as good as having a new camera!

And on that note, I hope the new stuff is affordable, for everybody's sake...

As mentioned in the OP, there have already been suggestions of - for example - an OS version of the 300mm f/2.8 prime: I'd really like that to be confirmed next month.

My Sigma wishlist

12-24mm without the complex distortion that plagues the Mk.II
24-70mm f2.8 with OS below $1k that is optically as good as the canon
200-600mm Zoom F4 or better at below $2k

I know it is too obvious that I am building this around the 70-200f2.8mk.ii but it's just a wish

I hear you there. I just got the Sigma 85mm f1.4 and was very impressed, I think I would pounce on a solidly made 35mm 1.4 with good AF by Sigma.
