The Next Canon PowerShot is Coming This Year

Sorry Admin, don't mean to burst your bubble, but the LUMIX Flow and LUMIX Lab apps both knock it out the park. Both apps are quick, functional, and do what they are intended to. Download LUTs, create LUTs, quickly edit fotos. And the LUMIX Flow is an external monitor with video workflow app. Canon not completely embracing Real Time LUTs in favor of it's proprietary Picture Profiles is a major bummer. R50v with LUTs in video only is ok, but doesn't quite cut the mustard when compard to my Lumix devices. LUTs provide a seamless consistant Look across all platforms regardless of brand.

What i want is "cheap" PowerShot with a decent lens with at least 200mm at the long end. Doesn't have to have big sensor, something like a 1/1.7" would do, just like the old G series but with modern tech and modern processing. Would love to buy a camera like this and take it with me on some trips.

Just, the current trend may show not a few people got enough of "computational photography" and look for something that doesn't make any photo looks like what phone OS marketing believe they should like. Canon should make a phone OR a camera - not both of them into a single device.

Would love to see an APS-C zoom like the G1x III. If they had the guts to make a bright prime that would be even cooler. But a zoom isn’t so bad either. Hope the sensor can read out fast enough and that it carries the water resistance and EVF of the G1X III. In fact, if they can update the battery, sensor, and processor, I’m sure it would find an audience. Also I would request the automatic lens cap like the G7X III, a cap for a compact point and shoot feels weird and I don’t use the filter ring except for NDs and a compact should have built-in NDs. If they could stretch the aperture to f/2.5 or f/2.2 on the short end that would be very cool too.
