6D mark II; display, resolution, ...

No way the 6D is getting 5D3 autofocus. Even with the Mark 4 likely going to the 65 point system, the 61 point system is still very, very good.
People's needs are very different.
I would be very, very happy with only one focus sensor (but a good one), 'cause I'm always using the focus-and-recompose-technique (and never had problems by doing so, even with fast lenses).
I'm expecting the 6D mark II to have
slightly more megapixels, even if I'd wish it to have much less (not because my computer isn't the fastest, but because of better high-iso-performance).
My guess is that the 6D mk II version will also
feature a tilt-able display (if not something more flexible). What Nikon did with the D750, Canon should also be able to deliver - especially in form of a high-res tilt-able display in a FF camera.
Before I upgraded to my 6D, I owned a 600D. I really miss it's display. lol btw. I'm not a lazy one

If you want to shoot from low down on the ground, why getting down and dirty when we have all that tech...

The 6d has mainly been bought by travel / landscape photographers giving its replacement 12MP would be the kiss of death.
You sir, are probably right. I don't believe that there will ever be a large sensor DSLR from Canon with less than 15 megapixels in the future.
Well, it's the business. We have to deal with it. But everything's getting better and better, so I'm good to go with it anyway
Price point
How much will the 6D mkII cost... any guess? I think it'll move slightly upmarket and sells for ~ 2k € at launch - but not much more - as this would be nonsense imo. Every product line (xxxxD, xxxD, xxD, xD) has it's distinctive price points and they wont change dramatically. At least that's what I am expecting.
