Canon will have their final round of lens announcements of 2023 on November 2. We can expect three new lenses to be announced that day.

This follows this month's announcement of the RF 10-20mm f/4L IS STM, which has seen some good preorder demand.

Upcoming Lenses (November 2, 2023)

The third lens is one of three that we have been told are coming “soon”, but we haven't confirmed which one will come on November 2. We don't want to get any hopes up for specific lenses until we do confirm it. There's one specific lens that will break the internet if it gets announced (and we hope it does). All I can confirm is that it is on our roadmap.

  1. Would be funny if Canon finally got the (U)WA/1.x L lenses at the start :ROFLMAO:
Personally, I'd be happy with another pancake. But that would be astounding without any rumor about it :p
  2. I'm guessing the mysterious 3rd lens will be the RF 200-500mm f/4L. I'm hoping it's the TS-R 14mm f/4L. The former is not something I'd purchase (sticking with the EF 600/4 II + 1.4x for birds until something meaningfully better comes along). The latter is something I'd preorder immediately.

Shout out to the 35/1.2L. Lol.
  3. Personally hoping rf 50 1.4 is usm or rf-s 32mm 1.4 is usm. I know I know, neither of these are not coming.. but one can dream, right? :)
And who needs rf 35 1.2 anyways...

The TS is something I would be interested into myself. Can't justify the 200-500 for my use, although I'd love to be able to hypnotize the swmbo and convert her :ROFLMAO:

This is the one! This will break the internet and ME. Canon. I have converted a Nikon fan to the R5 and he has already bought 4 lenses (2 L's - true story!).... am I deserving enough? <halo emoji>. Please do not listen to anyone else on this forum but me :ROFLMAO:

You use a double negative, meaning they are both coming?
And who needs rf 35 1.2 anyways...
    I do! :ROFLMAO:
  6. Would the 200-500mm actually “break the internet”?
Probably not; to be able to break the internet I think the only two lenses would be the 35 f1.2/1.4 or the 50 f1.4

...but Sigma has a 105 f1.4 so I'll root for the new Canon RF 105 f1.2 IS USM L  possibly in white, thanks
  7. A better announcement would be that Canon and Sigma have come to an agreement that Sigma can port all of its APS-C MILC lenses to R-mount.

Let's start with FF stuff, starting from the 85 f1.4 which is super small and light; aps stuff can come later :p

Agree. Really hoping especially the New Sigma 10-18 f2.8, 18-50 f2.8 and sigma 56 1.4 to get rf-s mounts.
