Pricepoint claims to know which lenses will be getting rebates in the US. They don't know the rebate amount however.

I will point out the 70-200 f/2.8L IS is on the rebate list. This lens was pulled last minute for Canon Canada rebates.

The 7D rumormill was great it turned into posting after posting of debate between the full frame and sub frame camps. As a manufacturer what more could you want as far as pre-release excitement?
when it comes to marketing, canon is a leader. and they did do viral marketing in the earlier camera releases. But this time, since canon had bad pr about the AF, any clue before the release would trigger massive discussions about the AF, which canon would not prefer.
Does anyone have a clue when this will happen? I’m buying a 17-40 and I need it soon, so I want to know how long to wait and if the rebate is worth waiting for. Anybody know?
