Received a link to a guy claiming Canon would be releasing a firmware update for the 7D sometime in the middle of October. Apparently the firmware addresses an issue with 720p. No word on what that issue is. There's probably other small tweaks and fixes as well.

Does anyone know when the 7D will drop in price in the US? (Or more important, on ebay.com). I really can’t wait to kick out my 5D, and get that new camera, but I’m on a student budget, so it can’t be right now
When will it be out? it is well over mid-October. My 7D is still 1.0.7
