EOS Medium Format? It’s mentioned over at [NL] that a Canon move into medium format would still be branded under the EOS name. This makes sense, as Canon would have the EOS M line, the EOS line, the Cinema EOS line and a higher resolution EOS MF line. From Lee Filters As previously mentioned, Lee Filters has officially announced a filter ring adaptor that works with the Canon TS-E 17mm f/4L lens. This adaptor allows you to tap into the 100mm (or 105mm polarizer) filter system that Lee offers. A Bigger LCD? We were told that Canon is currently testing a 3.5″ screen on the next generation EOS-1 body. The screen has multi-touch capabilities and higher resolution than the current 3.2″ LCDs. The Next EOS-1? We’re told that their is a 44.7mp camera in heavy testing. However, the test cameras are eating batteries when shooting in 4K mode. Development is still continuing on the sensor, batteries and software. I expect a development announcement for this camera sometime in late 2013 or early 2014. Medium Format Another two people have said Canon will announce a medium format solution for Photokina next September. The EOS M2 The new version of DPP may have outed the upcoming new EOS M camera. It will have the sensible name M2 by the looks of it. I’m not too sure following the Leica naming scheme is a good idea.
