Apparently the folks at Canon even want a 24-70 f/2.8L IS!

I think Canon is teasing us a bit. but I have no doubt a 24-70 IS USM is on the way

Misprint. It’s coming out of the same data element used in the Flash file, explaining the multiple instances (i.e. a canned layout for any lens put there). Might still be a play for attention on the marketing dept’s part, but nevertheless not a quiet announcement.
