As good as the 28mm pancake is, I’d much rather see a new VCM lens in 28mm than 105mm.

Nikon was new on the rangefinder market back then, they had split with Canon just a few years ago and brought out their Nikon I in 1948...

They’re big and heavy. Probably Canon could reduce size and weight with more reliance on digital correction.
