Not that I've seen, but I have money in the bank waiting for it. Definitely the lens I am most interested in.

That is almost 4k per side, which is a nice marketing checkbox to tick.I guess that they don't see the R6 as having enough resolution, when you project 2 images to the 36x24 sensor. I didn't bother to check the image circle, but I would ass-u-me that it's a full circle for each "eye" so that would bring us down to - at the most - two 18mm circular images. If it's two perfect 18mm diameter circles, you'd use 58.9% of the image sensor so 26.5Mpixels in total or 13.25Mpixels/image path for the 45Mpixel R5.
New title, "Sigma wont be producing any RF lenses in 2021, maybe never", and the other third party companies have stopped in 2021, because Canon and their legal teams put an end to it. They don't want any competition for its overpriced lenses, especially outside the US where prices are sky high, and third-party lenses would have lots more appeal!
Canon is offering very expensive L-series glass for a lot more money than before, or entry level budget lenses, many of which are a stop darker than their predecessors, for higher prices. The justification that the R5 and R6 can handle higher ISO is a moot point because these aren't the cameras that people would use budget lenses on...
Hang on to your EF lenses people, and buy an adapter, they work perfectly fine on the RF platform.
Thanks/ it was partial metering. spot circle is smallerLooks like the Spot Metering area. Check your metering modes and try some others, such as Evaluative, and see if you like that better. Spot Metering is good in some situations, tricky in others, especially if you aren't used to it. I like Spot for portraits, Evaluative for landscapes.
Have fun!
Great point about distortion caused by using a smartphone to photograph and EVF! No way we can tell what's happening with the image posted. Thank you for chiming in!Taking a photo of the electronic viewfinder with a smartphone is pointless in my opinion, because its lens (which is usually a wide-angle lens) is not free from distortion, and you will never be able to get a perfectly flat image of this electronic viewfinder. In the case of the optical viewfinder, it is clearly different.
I tried to take a photo of the electronic viewfinder of my EOS R with my smartphone (iPhone 7 Plus), and I also registered the image distortion. The camera was perfectly level, and on my smartphone I used the ProCamera application with the Tiltmeter turned on perfectly level. I took the photo "from hand":
If the EVF image is recorded directly with an external video recorder, no distortion can be seen.
Very true, which is why Canon (and most other advertising claims) are careful to use the caveat “up to”.With those numbers, anecdotes only get you so far.
This is an nice resource for checking out how other users fared with their shutter counts:
Canon's numbers are no exact counts at which the camera will fail, but just estimates of what consumers can reasonably expect.
I'm using 95mm slim, clear protection filter, Mfg. by Ice, purchased on Amz and am able to use with both filter installed, lens cap attached and hood fits easily over my 800 lens, in either position, Alan. Priced at under $20.00, I had my doubts and was skeptical about the quality of this filter but have been impressed with the metal filter rim and glass, so far. Could it just be your filter brand and/or size? Do you have a friend with a 95mm filter different than yours that you might try? Good luck.As I wrote, the JJC hood didn't fit over the 95mm filter on mine. Maybe it needs a slim fit filter. Was yours a very tight fit?
AF is not what I am looking for. 14mm with movements is.I’m not sure I see the benefit of AF in a TS lens. For me, at least, the ability to use a rear filter is more benefit. But the extra 3mm would also be useful.
Wow...amazing.We have to keep receipts on our gear ready to show the customs, even for old gear, if you can’t prove you didn’t buy it while traveling you can be forced to pay the taxes on retail Norwegian price (again). Luckily it’s not like they have resources to really pick you out and follow through, but it happens.
