Very nice!
Sorry to necro-post, but what's the latest on this ultra-wide f2 zoom rumor?

It should be a basic. Too many reasons to list. The R should have had dual slots. Come on Canon, dual slots are not some high end feature. Sony offers dual slots in the A7iii. Fuji offers dual slots in their X-T3.
you need this for 4k , for 8k there isnt big enough tvYes, you can tell more difference between bad 1080p and good 1080p than between good 1080p and good 4K on a decent TV at normal distances.
Similarly, streaming video quality can have more to do with bitrate than theoretical resolution.
I thought that it had been announced it will be released before the games in July
What are three functions of waxes?I'd have to agree, but also disagree. Photoshopping is nothing more than a tool, just like sandwiching negs, making contrast masks, etc before printing a pin-registered set on an enlarger. In the commercial photography world, you'll be surprised how much PS'ing is going on. Not to change the image, but to remove items like wires, adhesives and a spray waxes, etc before outputting. I wouldn't call that manipulation. But to collage up multiple images and cut & paste pieces from one to another, I would.
BUT, there is something to be said about photographers who'll Hollywood up a set and do it all "in the can". Yeah, it'd be impressive if somebody would do stuff like this on an 8x10 with a single sheet of film.
I'd say it's the difference between "fine-art" and "photograph".
Thanks guys I was able to setup the exposure bracket to my custom function. So much faster setup that way thanks again
Mine didn't seem to have that problem. I just kept it locked.
I want to know how many focus points the R6 will have (although it will be replacing my 6D, so anything above 11 will be a bonus.... ) and how fast/accurate the AF will be I hope it will be better than the 80/90D bicycle tests done by DPReview. ( https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canon-eos-90d-review/6). Also interested in the resolution and frame rate of the viewfinder
Follow up. I just tested the 55-250 with the new Kenko TC on a 90D and the result is not bad at all. The center is not quite as sharp as a 70-300L, but with a TC, that is no surprise. It is, however, quite decent even on the 90D. The edges have some CA, but that seems to clean up pretty well in LR. Magnification is only a little more than the 70-300L (maybe 320mm), so the 55-250 looks like it really tops out at about 225. Also just checked it on the 5DSr and it seems to provide almost a full image circle with a bit of vignetting in the very corners. I will try the combo out on an M5, but no reason to believe it won't work well and as a proof of concept for the lens under discussion, the answer is basically, I would buy the new lens in a heartbeat for my M kit.I just ordered a Kenko HD 1.4 TC (that works with EF-s lenses) to put behind an EF-s 55-250m and in front of an EF-M adapter. That results in 98-350 with f/8 max, so pretty close to the discussed lens and the 55-250 is very sharp at the long end, so that combo should give a pretty good feel for the new lens. Given that the Kenko TC also works with standard EF lenses, it should produce almost a FF image circle, so the 55-250 with TC may work well on a FF body as well. At a minimum, it will be an interesting experiment for not very much investment.
Yes, thats typical. Those who preorder on the first day or two get their cameras, but when demand is higher than expected, latecomers will have to wait for the 2nd or 3rd shipment. Stocking stores in countries around the world takes a huge number of cameras, and the factory plans a production rate based on sales forecasts. Its just impossible to make enough initially when a product popularity exceeds predictions.
The Coronavirus may indeed be affecting production, I'll bet Canon is scrambling to get components, and is having to pay more for them than expected. It may get worse. If I wanted the MK III, I'd order one immediately, because they may be very hard to get later. Unfortunately, my wrists can no longer take the weight.
It's highly unlikely to be a speedlite. Canon's speedlites don't use the 5 GHz RF range. There's a rumour on the frontpage about a new speedlite: https://www.canonrumors.com/canon-eos-r5-and-a-new-speedlite-appear-for-certification/
No, this is a great way to satisfy a "photographer's dream"
100mm end of 100-400 is a bit too long at time for sports.
70-400 is your 100-400 with a wider end. Just perfect.
Yeah it is bit slow but my goal was for Camping and extended times where I am just using Solar panels to charge my power packs. Works well enough to keep me poweredCoincidentally I have bought it recently but I haven't fully tested it apart from the fact that both positions work. It is a slow charger but slim at the same time so I bought it for travelling without a car as a second charger in place for my bigger double one (second charger) that uses mains and car battery.
@Bert63, It's just a car. And not even a beautiful one.
The specific moment yes. I can make my DSLRs to do it in reality this happens very rarely and I can turn the manual focus ring and fix it immediately or I can set "Lens drive when AF impossible" set to ON. So I have set it back that way to my R. I do not use it for birding so it can stay to ON, no problem.Does this also happen with the EVF?
Not just the images, have a look at https://www.canon.co.uk/lenses/rf-70-200mm-f2-8l-is-usm-lens/specifications/ and scroll down to "Extender Compatibility".
Expect at least 5-7 years before the RF line of lenses gets fully fleshed out.
Actually I’m somewhat impressed that a Canon is moving as quickly as they are on this. It’s showing a level of dedication that we don’t often see from them.
