But even with 1/8000 s available for me, I still bring along 3-stop ND. My fast primes (35L, 85L II, 135L) all take a 72mm filter, so I only need one.
bycostello said:yeah my error.. thought 23mm before crop factor taken into account and not after....
35mm quite wide though.. i'd still think 50mm if i was to go for a prime...

famous last words! good luck with that![]()
Marsu42 said:wickidwombat said:i could care less about the weight and bulk
But since this lens is aimed at the pro market, less weight should be really better if shooting all day. The one thing I find strange though is that people who recommend the much heavier 70-200/2.8is all the time now say that the 100g weight loss on the 24-70ii is important to them :-o

Much longer, thicker, and about 3x heavier.
Mt Spokane Photography said:Canon has not been selling refurb 5D MK III's. They usually let them pile up for a year or so. The Used cameras that B&H sells are not Canon refurbished. We may see Canon refurbished 5D MK III bodies at B&H, and Adorama before they appear on Canons site.
I use 98 CRI T8 tubes with a electronic ballast. Works perfectly. Just don't use the old non electronic ballasts.rpt said:For lighting, I learned the hard way not to use CFL or Fluorescent Tubesdstppy said:I've only done 2 lenses so far, my 85mm 1.8 (which comes up with a different number, near zero, each time) and my 50mm 1.4 that won't calibrate at all.
Lighting I think is an issue, but the mac beta says sorta weird things about iso, so who knows . . . not a lot of time on my hands![]()

They drive FoCal nuts!

bycostello said:indeed i am and indeed it is.... although the new Fuji EX1 taking my attention now... super fast AF, apparently...
although prob tells me why not many people with views yet on the M if not out in the states yet....

I think there is a big difference in resolution , look at X and the text authentic beers
Look who cares about the labels below the name? Only pixel peepers care about those. Viewers only look at the image for like 2 seconds and move on. What matters is the actual composition and exposure, not silly things like resolution or detail.
