Really nice with that clean sky bg.Handsome male Stonechat from yesterday (R5ii 800mm).
At times, I have been called immature, common, and a loon, but never all at once! Really love the first photo.Immature common loon. They won't be back for 3-5 years. Good luck little buddy

One more mirror lens. This time a Minolta MD 500mm f/8. This is one of the sharper mirrors, but MFD of 14 ft. Nice day, so lower ISO on the R7.

If it's a question it would be nice to shear were you took the photo. The picture by itself is not telling a lot!View attachment 226834
I thought it was a crow, but there seem to be some brown around the neck. Unfortunately I wasn't expecting to see any birds I'd want to photograph so this is 16mm. I tried to get lower to avoid the vertical perspective distortion but spooked the bird.

Craig has reinstated the bird threads (thanks!) so here are a few shots to get it going again. A Stonechat briefly present far away, and a Kestrel today with the RF 200-800mm on the R5ii.
