Show your Bird Portraits

What I will do if there were no Common Waxbills around (sometimes mixed with the Chestnut Munia).... The strange light spot in eye of the first photo should be reflection from my lens - I have no other explanation...

Another very nice series, ISv.

I believe the same thing for the strange light spot in eye on the first one.

Couple of shots with a different old lens. R8 with Minolta MD 200mm f/4.5 (not a mirror). This lens is in very good condition and pretty sharp wide open.

Stellar Jay snitching the birdseed I put out for the Juncos.

I thought it was a crow, but there seem to be some brown around the neck. Unfortunately I wasn't expecting to see any birds I'd want to photograph so this is 16mm. I tried to get lower to avoid the vertical perspective distortion but spooked the bird.

If it's a question it would be nice to shear were you took the photo. The picture by itself is not telling a lot!

Craig has reinstated the bird threads (thanks!) so here are a few shots to get it going again. A Stonechat briefly present far away, and a Kestrel today with the RF 200-800mm on the R5ii.

One last Mirror. This is one I just got in (two copies). Sigma 400mm f/5.6. I have two copies of the Sigma 600mm f/8 and they are both very soft. These are a little better, but not by much. However, with a lot of help from Topaz, these make some interesting shots due to the unique bokeh from the faster f stop. All with R8.
