A couple I took a few weeks ago at Mom's for the holiday. My first attempt at bird photography. Shot through the double pane glass in the kitchen windows. R7, EF 70-300mm IS USM II. Same Cardinal in both pictures.

Very nice photo of endangered bird! I think if one wants to get a photo of this bird the best chance is exactly in Spain!

I was in two places in Spain for the Bustards, its a hard day in these hides. You are brought to your hide @ 06.00 and there until 10.15 at night. Its pure luck if one or any come near your hide as they do wander around. These hides are not easy to get and I usually book them in November for the following year.
