Show your Bird Portraits

Great shots as usually! My favorites are the photos of the second species (probably the colors, not sure). On other hand the second and third photos of the first species are more funny:
#2: I don't want to be photographed - I'm still with my night makeup!!!!
#3: Stop iiiiit - I told you!!!!!

It didn't rain one day this week, and I took out the R5 and RF 100-500 to check whether it stills works. A couple of shots of a Redpoll and a Siskin on a distant Alder tree, a March Tit close up, and a Jackdaw.Apparently, the Jackdaws are are rare group of birds with light irises and the y can communicate with their eyes. I'd be interested to see whether I would get better results with the RF 100-800 for the Redpoll and Siskin. I upsized them 1.7-1.9x using the high fidelity mode of Topaz. If there is enough detail to start with, the software is as good as an extender.309A9044-DxO_Redpoll_on_alder_ed-1.9xSHAut.jpg309A9046-DxO_Siskin_on_alder-topaz-enhance-1.6xhifi_SHaut.jpg309A9212-DxO_Marsh Tit.jpg309A9256-DxO_jackdaw.jpg

A few more photos with the R5 and RF200-800mm, this time while on a hike. All shot at 800mm f/9 and 1/2000s. Cropped and light editing in PS. Still happy with the results. Note the reddish stain on the beaks and feathers on some of these birds. The prickly pear fruit is ripe, and many species are enjoying the red flesh and seeds.California Towhee CR5_147404.jpgLesser Goldfinch male eating seed pod CR5_148422.jpgNorthern Mockingbird CR5_147330.jpgRufous-crowned Sparrow CR5_147105.jpgWhite-crowned Sparrow CR5_147267.jpgLesser Goldfinch fem CR5_148559.jpg

Were these processed from RAW?

:ROFLMAO:! I started answering Alan's question about his trip to Turkey and posted these photos first there (deleted already).
From today, barely 4-4.5 meters from me. Young Saffron finch (two birds, I separate them by the yellow/orange patch on the forehead of the first one). All are cropped but the first photo is ~100% crop (+/- may be +). It's from the same burst as the second photo.DSC_8432_DxO.jpgDSC_8433_DxO.jpgDSC_8462_DxO.jpgDSC_8504_DxO.jpg
