More than a few I believe. It seems that a few people desperately want such a camera. That doesn't mean that Canon desperately needs to make one.

What startling information! Who knew? For an equally pithy response, allow me to inform you that the R7 already has an APS-C sensor."The crop factor of an APS-C sensor makes smaller or more distant subjects larger in the frame, which in effect increases the effective focal length of any lens by 1.6x. This can be a major advantage in genres such as wildlife, action and sports photography. "
That's direct from Canon. The original 1Dd clear through the 1DIV were 1.3 crop sensors. Not full frame.
How many more? Do you know? I don’t know. Not even a guess.More than a few I believe.
Wrong! R100ii will be the perfect camera! No touchscreen, no viewfinder, no fullframe!R3 II with 30 MP and improved AF? The perfect camera.
Too good to be true!
I don't really think the grip adds that much weight, but everyone's feeling will be different on this.I'm not using WIFI, so I don't care.
I just want a rugged camera with enough MP (24 or more), excellent ergonomics and Eye-Control AF.
I've never found a more hand-flattering camera than the R3. Therefore, if the R5 II doesn't have this type of AF, I'll order either an R3 or an R1.
The only issue, for me, is the way I carry cameras, two hanging from backpack straps via a Peak Design clip. ( one LeicaM and one EOS) with their respective lenses. A non-gripped body is advantageous. But I'll surely find a way around this little luxury issue...
What?!? Questioning the overlords of our beloved forum on what they have written and to justify and/or measure the effectiveness of the rumours? You are insulting Canon Rumors now, you know? They had major specs long time before the first teaser from Canon.
Canon dropped the first teaser as a "side-note" at a announcement of Cinema stuff. And then dropped a few more details a couple of times before full announcement. But major specs like 8K video (including. RAW video, though CR didn't really believe it themselves and removed it again from their early posts) was out (rumored/leaked) long before that. Unusual long time before actually.
Seeing how Fuji etc are selling a lot of crop sensors, I would tend to think 'much more than a few'.More than a few I believe.
R52c would be great but I do not think it will happen so soon. I hope that it does! But the body design does not lend towards internal ND. 60fps RAW without PD, full-size HDMI and other enhancements would be fantastic.Time for guessing game again.
Since the current rumour is 5 cameras.... I think it is
1. R1, Global shutter 30MP
2. R5ii, Stacked BSI 50MP(RIP a1)
3. R5iiC, clog4 or clog2 with internal ND
4. R6iii, boosted 45MP CMOS
5. R9, EVF-less R8. Can reuse the external EVF from M6ii.
And 35L/1.4, 24L/1.4, 50/1.4, 70-200L/2.8Z
The mythical goalpost that keeps moving everytime there is a new release from the major competitors. The R3 was indeed supposed to be the R1 until they saw what Nikon and Sony did.You mean the ephemeral, fantasy goalposts based solely on rumors? Sure, sure.
You believe everything you read on the internet, don’t you?The mythical goalpost that keeps moving everytime there is a new release from the major competitors. The R3 was indeed supposed to be the R1 until they saw what Nikon and Sony did.
You’re describing the R5I have 2 R6II cameras and they are great. My only wish in a newer model would be for it to have between 35-45mp, all-i video in standard mode, the option to save settings to an sd card like Sony does. […]
