I thought you could pretty much assign anything to the multi-func button on 1dx

Pretty much everything except what I really want which is "RATING"

Rating and voice annotation (along with AF/Drive speed) were the reasons behind this purchase. Just seems like you can customize this camera any which way you want, except be able to assign RATING to any button.

Guess I'll call canon just to make sure i'm not missing anything. Maybe (haha) they'll add it in a future firmware release.

And I forgot to mention.. Yes, I know I can set the Voice Annotation button to do ratings, but then I can't do voice annotation?????? Which kills one of the reasons I bought the 1Dx.

I think that I can't assign ISO to any of the to M.fn buttons is crazy.

I think they could have done a lot more serious options to these buttons.

And also they could have had the set button to one function in play and another in rec-mode. For example I use the SET to magnify, but I could seriously have used it for ISO, because the new ISO button is too far to the right, and too small.

There isn't enough M.Fn buttons on the camera. 8)

Why don't you just use the Magnify button to magnify, and the Set button for ISO?
