My former copy of the 50mm 1.4 sucked (AF). Overrated in my view. Manual focus was okay.

I would hope the 50mm 1.2L red ring is better.

I had Canon and Sigma 50/1.4 (non-art) for couple months. Sold Canon. Wouldn't say it sucked, but Sigma was better in every aspect.

Thanks! My mistake. In the current issue of PPA Magazine, the 1DXII is featured as a hot new item for 2016, and in that shot it does have the 50mm 1.4 attached. Not wearing glasses, I saw this shot in the Canon Store and thought it was the same. (Unless it changed overnight!) Red ring is clearly there!
