24-105 2.8

What do you see with your copies of the lenses? With both wide open, my RF 24-105/2.8 is sharper than my RF 24-105/4 at the wide end, and they're pretty similar at the long end. That's consistent with Canon's MTF charts.

The more you use Bryan's charts, the more you realize they're not always the best for head-to-head comparisons of lenses.

I do not have the lens yet. Until then I have only Brian and people like you on this forum to go by... So thanks for the reassurance.

Judging from photos and my experience with the 28-70 f/2, it won't be as sharp as the rf 1.2L lenses, but should be really impressive, nonetheless.

I was hoping that the new lens would have at least the same IQ as the F4 version. Sadly, it does not. At 2.8 the quality drops. :-(
I did a few comparisons between this and the 28-70. Unfortunately, I don't have the 24-105 f/4 anymore, but you should be able to get some idea of the 2.8's performance.

Thank you!!! It would have been easier for me if indicators were saying which photos were from which lens.
