You made me to read the differences between the Cory's and Scopoli's shearwaters. Your photo illustrates probably the biggest difference one can see (without DNA analysis or vocalization): the underwing! I had to learn it too and had taken enough photos to do it unambiguously. That's the great thing about bird photography, we can study the photos at leisure. Using binoculars and telescopes you would need a photographic memory to learn afterwards.You made me to read the differences between the Cory's and Scopoli's shearwaters.
