Can 5d2 shutter cable be wireless?

Hi
I (still) use Canon 5Dmk2's.
I have a device that will automatically trigger the shutter via the shutter release cable. The problem is...
1. I cant find a shutter release cable long enough (at least 2m's ideally 5m long)
2. I cant work out how to make this connection wireless, which would be the best solution.
The sending device accepts a 2.5mm jack and the receiving camera port is the N3 (remote control terminal) port (obviously)
The normal Sutter release cable is that very short curly cable (N3 to 2.5mm jack) works fine, but I need the camera to be further away from the device.

I have a few wireless triggers but they dont seem to be able to connect to the sending device (2.5mm jack)
Wasting too much time trying to working out, any clever bods around?

Thanks guys
Simon

Hi. I have the 5DMII and if you are in front of the camera you can use the Canon RC-6.

Or you can use wireless third party triggers such as

OR

Best to shop around for other brands to see what is available...

I have used both the RC-6 and a Yongnou with my 5DMII and both are easy to connect and set up and use.

Hope you find something that suits you.
