I recommend looking for some used EF or EF-S lenses. I also recommend you check some reviews after you found something at a good price to see if it will be sharp enough for the current RF-S sensors.

I am more sensitive to people not wanting to adapt EF and EF-S lenses to these tiny new RF-S cameras.
The small footprints are part of their selling point.

I see your point, but at the same time if a person buys into the rf system without any intention of using an adapter before the lenses they want are available, it's hard for me to think they didn't just make a mistake.
