I'm sorry to hear about your problem in the UK. I do, however, know that Canon are making these -- I got my two control-ring adapters from Canon USA a couple of days ago, after everybody had been out of stock for a while.

I would really love to see a breakdown of the sales numbers by lens. I imagine from those 150 million, 100 million are kit lenses.
