Canon EOS R1 Spotted in the wild at the Monaco GP

The logical reaction would be for you to buy a Nikon plus your beloved Tamron 35-150, instead of complaining. This is at least what I would do if I were so dissatisfied with Canon's offer...
Complaining?
People are just asking for Canon to make a camera that Nikon does.
If the R5 II rumors are true then I think most of them would just buy an R5 II and add a grip.
The rumored new grip sounds pretty exciting anyway.

Perhaps if you shoot for Getty or AP on the Olympics it's a different story.
That is exactly who Canon is referring to.
They test out Canon products before they go live.
To be fair, Jeff Cable also uses an R5 as well as an R3.
I do not think he would mind seeing more speed in an R5 but that sounds like what the R5 II will be.
He does not seem to mind having a separate grip for the R5.
I know that he is only one person but he does seem to have some influence.

Do you think pros want specs or rather reliable and fast tools?
Spec lovers are found among amateurs, not working professionals...
Well, except for the fact that the pro sports togs love the low MP specs paired with the blazing fast AF and tracking specs and the tank like build specs. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::p Even Goldwing said Sports Photographers were human too.

Yeah, but the 24MP R6II and R8 deliver better spatial resolution. Of course, some people believe MP count is all that matters.
And yet, I'd never exchange my 5 D IV for an R8 or even an R6. The 5 D IV is almost indestructible, what about the R 8? I'd be afraid dropping one...
MPs or spatial resolution aren't all that matter. Built is much more important to me.
R5 II : OK, I'll order 2 of them as soon as I can, advantages are becoming more then convinving!

I see. So when someone provides a logical reason why your suggestion was not implemented, you believe that person took offense at your suggestion. Mmmmmkay.
Oh, it's not the logical reasoning that makes me think some here take offence, it's the personal attacks and ridicule that often accompany such responses. Why would someone imply others here are dense, stupid, deluded, uneducated, whiny, incapable of thought, asinine (a favourite of yours it seems) etc, if not from a position of feeling offended, or some other negative emotion? Are the insults just for sport? They certainly don't add any intellectual weight or credibility to the opinions they're bundled with.

The reality is that Canon has apparently chosen not to follow your suggested strategy. It’s perfectly reasonable to state you’d prefer a high MP R1. It’s not at all reasonable for you to assume Canon is obligated to deliver that. It’s asinine for you to assume that your knowledge of what a majority of R1 buyers want is better than Canon’s. Note that I’m not stating you personally have made those last two claims, but certainly they are common on this forum.
