Canon Repair on 5D3 problems

I just had my 5D3 returned from Canon Repair for correction of the light leak on long exposures and a general 18 point cleaning. My camera is acting funny. Aside from having to re-set all of my custom button settings, etc, I noticed that when in Av mode and taking a photo, if I try to rotate the Quick Control dial for some EV compensation while pressing the shutter halfway down, the shutter speed in the viewfinder changes to the letter "L" and the center mark on the exposure bar does not move. Also, I selected a 3x3 grid to show but it does not. Any ideas? I've emailed Canon and will try to call but if there are any quick fixes for this let me know. Thanks.

Phil-- Thanks! That takes care of the EV problem. Still can't figure out why the grid isn't showing up. Also I noticed when I AF and the camera locks on there is no beep note does the center box light up. I think it used to light up but maybe i never paid attention before. I does in live mode, however. Thanks again. Never thought to look at the lock button.

I sold my 5D II over a year ago, so I can't remember all of the specifics, but as far as the beep and lighting up, is the camera by chance in "AI Servo" or "AI Focus" mode?

Bingo!!! Thanks. I was re-setting one of my custom functions and forgot to return it to Single Shot

I was able to turn on the grid display but it does not show up in the 3x3 pattern but at this point I'll take it. All of the menu controls were set at default and I thought I had gone through each one but must have blown by VF display setting. Thanks for the help everyone. Much appreciated!!
