Dude, That was very clever, very insightful, and very true!
You just left the part out about the beautiful 100% unobstructed view over-looking Lake Nokin, as compared to the light pole in the parking lot, blocking 3% of Lake Failures view!

Nice - I also left out the fact that Nokin Village looks better in low light! Of course that would just be speculation for now
I don't necessarily need the pro level system of the Mk III - but I don't want to pay more for a system which is inferior to 3 year old systems found in less expensive cameras.
Which is? I'm not aware of a three year old FF camera body that sells for less, unless you might be referring to a 5D MK II.
Sure, my 7D costs less than my 5D MK II, but thats because it is a lot less camera. My 5D MK II gets 90% of my use, the 7D being good for situations where there is good light and I'm focal length limited. The AF is indeed good, but not as accurate.
I fell for the hype and bought a D800, which went back after 1100 images. Fine low ISO body, but requires a lot of NR at ISO 800 and over. It can take a minute or two for lightroom to process each tweak to the NR, so you might spend 10 minutes per image. Try doing 500 of them. It spoils the fun of photography.
I'd certainly never recommend one to some unsuspecting newby, it would be a epic fail.
