It looks like Canon USA is going to try and get into the NFT space. Launching soon, is Cadabra, an online curated marketplace. Do people still take NFTs seriously? People lost billions in the burst of the NFT bubble. Some people were really surprised when they learned that a pixelated cartoon photo of a monkey is not really worth $200,000.

At the moment I see the ridiculous high fees of minting an NFT as a major problem. When the hype started, I decided to create some NFTs. I created some high resolution TIFFs that might work nice a large scale prints. My idea was to sell 100 of each for $5 per piece or so. Then I found out though that I had to pay about $80 per NFT to mint it. That seems like a great scam to me that will only make the NFT platforms rich. So of course every company wants to create an NFT platform.

It is the same with crypto currencies. The only people who can still get rich through crypto are the owners of the platforms that receive a lot of fees even if the value of crypto goes down.
