canonrumors phototips live cast 1 March 2012

The video is being recording live - ie you can go to the website and watch as they record.
As you're watching live there should be an online chat room to speak to others and probably the 2 hosts also.

The host thinks the 5DmkIII will get an antenna for wireless flash transmission - will be interesting to hear about.
(eg does that mean officially supporting wireless TTL info, effects on POcketWizards, effect on strobes and speed lights out etc)

EDIT - do you think either is under NDA and this able to speak at some point?

Craig Blair to announce 5D3 live?

Hey it looks like Craig is going on the phototips podcast again with james. But they are doing a live show together to unveil it as it is released. Calling it a watch party. I don't see it mentioned here yet, but phototips announced it yesterday.

Its not like I will have the money to buy one at $3500 but it might be fun to hang out with everyone in a live show. Is anyone thinking of attending since Craig will be the guest host?

I imagine that Craig will be posting something on this website soon. He has been on the PhotoTips show a couple of times already, and cannot imagine that the phototips dude would say that if he had not already worked it out with Craig in advance.

I think it will be fun to hang out with everyone and participate in the discussion. I am sure they will talk about all things Canon and not just the 5D replacement.

Dang. I read this on the phototips web site late yesterday and thought that if word got out we'd have another server meltdown if it got out on this site as well. fingers crossed servers at all sites hold up!!

PS. I was going to mention it this morning when I logged onto the site, but saw that it was referenced on several threads already. It starts at 11PM EST. Oh, and Craig had already mentioned it on CR's facebook page.

So its currently 944am March 1st here in brisbane Australia. I'm confused with all the timezones and different info on what time the phototips live cast will begin?

To make it simple for a guy... how many hours from now will the live cast begin ?

Honestly, after all the hype and whingeing about specs and prices and jumping ships on both sides and waiting and delays and whatnot, personally I'd rather just hear the showtunes.

Brisbane is GMT + 10hrs; New York City (EST in the US) is GMT -5hrs. So it is a 15 hour difference. So 11 PM EST +15 hours should give you the time on Mar 2-so that should make it about 2PM in the afternoon on the 2nd. If my calculations are correct. Hope this helps. Don't forget daylight savings. I've got 8pm in New York now, 1130am here in adelaide, so midday in the eastern states. Add one hour and you should be getting it 1pm tomorrow (1230pm for me).

ah yeah, you don't get daylight savings up there in the 51st state? maybe that does make it 2pm for you then...
