Here’s a reminder of unreleased Canon gear that has appeared for certification and that we’ll likely see ahead of CP+ in March. The only thing we haven’t heard much about is the new lenses, but we are trying to get them confirmed. We know the EF-M prime is no longer being released ahead of CP+ and will appear later in the year.

We do know that the EOS M50 will be priced closely to the EOS M6, though specifications have been hard to come by.

Well, at least it should be for good price whithout loss when I sell it, if M50 turns out to be a beast to buy.

The M50 will be a lower model. Smaller numbers are the higher end cameras. You would not likely want a lower end than the M5 and pay more for it.

that's really unknown at this time.

the M6 comes in two color styles the same as this one, the lower end units tend to come in more colors.

at this time, the camera could be ANYTHING.

With the M10 => M100 it's anyone's guess whether the M50 is a M100 with built-in EVF (ie an M5 light) or a straight M5 replacement (M5 Mark II)

Exactly that. We cannot be sure with Canons naming schemes anymore. Anyway, I still hope for some APS-C resolution beasts for still photography. I see that the technology is not scaling well with sensor size, bud damn, we're diving into sub 1um cells size, and we still are at 24Mpx. I want something with good oversampling. Let's start with 60Mpx and see what happens. Okay, with Canon attitude rather 32-36Mpx. Until then, I'll always aim low for budget models. Those high end models are not exciting anymore.

I'd say that it's more than likely that the M10->M100 move was exactly to make room for an intermediate-level body between the enthusiast M5/M6 and the entry-level/casual M100. So expect something like the 800D/77D: more manual controls than the M100 but fewer "advanced" features than the M5/M6 (no C modes, probably one less dial etc.)

Sounds like that is a possibility. Just looked at nokishita and realized they do not specify anything as Rebel. They do have 3 SKUs for DS 126741. I assume each SKU refers to body only, body+18-55 and body+18-135mm kits if that is in fact 90d. DS 126701 is most likely a Revel because it is made in Taiwan.

My guess is that M50 is replacement for M5. Canon might be clearing up the single digit for higher end mirrorless models. If that is true then we can expect a M6 replacement shortly and PC 2352 could be that.

highly unlikely that the 90D doesn't have BLE one would have to think.

Why not when the 80D has wi-fi but no Bluetooth?

BLE support was added in the DIGIC7 SoC. The 80D has a DIGIC6. More interesting question is whether the 90D'll have GPS or just a BLE connection to phone GPS like current DIGIC7 bodies.
