Eqiv. 1110 UK pounds, best I can get it for is £1289 grey so not that much difference given that's a good deal

Whats going on with Canon... they never gave such deep discounts a few months after releasing an expensive product. The exception used to be holiday season... are they not meeting their sales targets?

One of the reasons I liked L lenses was their ability to keep their value. Its no more the case.

One of the reasons I liked L lenses was their ability to keep their value. Its no more the case.

It's not Canon USA's price; it's gray market. The dollar is so strong, that gray market imports are much cheaper.

it is a GREAT deal. I have one all ready. I did however purchase a new 70-300 L soon after they were released at a GREAT savings. I knew it was a grey market item, but it was and still is a great lens. I still have it and will keep it. I would sell the 100-400 before I sell the 70-300L.

I have a Grey Market 24-105 on my CPS account, but that was added in years ago. They may have changed their policies...we'll find out when my 100-400 gets here next week. LOL

I just ordered the refurb version from Canon and it was $99 more. For that kind of money I'd rather go with USA version. Used the canonpricewatch for the notification, it worked out great!

This was my second purchase of a big white through them, could not be happier.

Just a heads up that I received my lens - it's brand new. They were terrific to deal with on the sale. The serial number worked in my CPS account so I have confirmed that CPS accepted it.
