Eos 6d metering timer

I have recently bought myself a brand new Eos 6d and am loving it but noticed that whatever I input as time for the metering timer of the camera it always turns of after 4 seconds...
Have gone over the manual to see if this is caused by some conflicting settings, but couldn't find anything.

And eventhough it's no biggie at all, the camera works perfectly for the rest, I am just wondering if any other 6d-user has experienced this and if it could maybe be the beginning of more trouble (computers you know)? ???

The setting you're adjusting is specific for the Live View metering timer. The regular (viewfinder shooting) metering timer duration is fixed (on the 6D and most other bodies; it can be changed on 1-series bodies).

Well, I'll be....Problem solved!
Thanks Neuroanatomist, I just assumed (never smart, I know :-[ ) that my 6d would do what my 1d m3 would....
